Fullers Mill Garden Special Event
Gifted to Perennial in 2013, Fullers Mill Garden is
an enchanting seven-acre garden on the banks of
The River Lark.
An introduction will be given about the garden
created by Bernard Tickner. Mr Tickner has spent
over 50 years designing and planting the garden,
working particularly with plant form and texture in
addition to colour, building a garden of truly yearround
interest. Mr Tickner continues to fully fund
Fullers Mill Garden is a plantsman’s delight of
rare and unusual shrubs, perennials and marginal
plants, with a beautiful woodland and lake.
Fullers Mill Head Gardener Annie Dellbridge will be
our guide for the day and will escort us through
winding paths beneath towering trees and well
stocked beds bordering the River Lark. We will visit
the Top Garden, The Quandaries, The Low Garden
and The Strip.
After lunch there will be a unique opportunity to
walk around Mill Deep Lake with a ranger from the
Suffolk Wildlife Trust, which highlights the bond
between the flora and fauna and their environment.
