Friends and supporters of Perennial are hosting a lovely range of special events for all those who love gardens and gardening to enjoy this spring and summer. All the events will raise money for Perennial, helping us to continue to support people working in or retired from horticulture when they are in need.
Events kick off on Wednesday 2 May with an open house and garden, followed by a lively gardener’s Q&A session at Fetcham Park in Surrey. Local historian Vivian White will give guests some insights into the history of the house and garden and BBC Radio Kent gardener Jean Griffin will chair the Q&A.

This is followed by the first in a series of open weekends at Sitting Spiritually in Lyme Regis, Dorset on 5 and 6 May. The team are taking a break from attending the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year and instead are opening their beautifully designed garden to showcase their furniture in a tranquil setting. Visitors are invited to attend for a wander around the garden with tea and cake, and special offers on all their ranges. Donations are invited for Perennial.

Later in the summer, the inaugural Belvoir Flower & Garden Festival will arrive in the grounds of historic Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire. Organised by Andy Tudbury of Halcyon Days Events, Perennial is the show’s charity partner this year. With a host of floral exhibits, show gardens, garden trade stands, local food and drink and a great line up of live music, the show promises to be a wonderful addition to the calendar.
