Explore part of the thousand acres of rolling parkland, walled gardens and ancient woodlands alongside spectacular Gothic architecture, enchanting waters and a breath taking Edwardian Glasshouse.
Head Gardener Natalie Angus will guide us through The Walled Gardens comprising of a secluded Rose Garden, Croquet Lawn and the world’s only fruit tree maze of espalier apples and pears, totalling half a mile in length.
The Geometric Garden creates a series of ‘rooms’ on both sides of a central espaliered hornbeam avenue. There is a Pleasure Garden to enjoy, very much the Victorian plant collectors’ dream and filled with majestic specimen trees planted in the era.
The winding paths, thick with plantings funnel visitors down to the tranquil mere, impressive at 145 acres and being the largest within an estate in the UK.
After the tour, we will have a fantastic lunch at the nearby Combermere Arms.BOOK TICKETS
