New London Stone Trade Club will raise money for Perennial

A new trade initiative has been launched this week (Monday 30 March) by London Stone, a leading supplier of natural stone paving and bespoke stone products to the trade. The Trade Club, which is free to join, offers its members unique benefits including exclusive discounts and early offers, access to the new ‘24/7 Stone’ online sales platform, online company profiles and much more, and for every new member, London Stone will donate £10 to charity. Perennial, the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping all horticulturists in need, will benefit from donations, along with Greenfingers, the charity that creates gardens at children’s hospices.

Speaking about the new partnership, Anita Bates, Director of Marketing and Development at Perennial says,

“Trade support for Perennial is at an all-time high. We have more Perennial Partners than ever before and more companies than ever are coming forward with ideas about how to raise money for their trade charity. This initiative from London Stone is a great example of how fundraising can benefit both the charity and the company raising the money. We hope companies who trade with London Stone will recognise the benefits of their new club and sign up soon!”

Steven Walley, Managing Director of London Stone says,

“The landscape industry’s greatest strength is the people it attracts. They make our industry so special and unique. Coming from landscape backgrounds, my fellow directors and I are always looking for ways to help strengthen and support the industry and London Stone Trade Club does this, in many ways.”

He continues,

“We’re proud that we are able to provide the landscape industry with an innovative, forward thinking trade club that gives genuine benefits to its members and that’s completely free to join. We’re even prouder that Trade Club will be supporting Perennial and Greenfingers. The work that these charities do is vital to those who rely on it and we hope that this new association will be the beginning of a long term collaboration between London Stone and two of the industry’s most important horticultural charities.”

Perennial is the UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting all horticulturists, working in or retired from horticulture. The charity offers free and confidential advice and support to people affected by disability, illness, poverty, financial hardship, old age or any number of life’s challenges. Trade support for the charity has significantly grown in recent years and there are now many ways in which companies can support the work of the charity. Anita Bates continues, “It’s absolutely fantastic that so many companies are seeing the benefits of supporting the charity that looks after horticulturists. Some see us a little like an insurance policy – you never know when you might need to turn to us for advice, support or financial assistance. But with so many projects on the go, we have opportunities for all companies, large or small, to make a real difference to our work.”

London Stone Trade Club benefits include:

  • 24/7 Stone allows members to check stocks, place orders, obtain quotes, review order history and pay bills online at any time, saving valuable time and helping you to work efficiently.
  • Spec Uploader is an innovative function, aimed at streamlining the tendering process. Designers can upload their project specifications and invite their chosen contractors to quote for the work. For every new sign up in 2015, London Stone will donate £10 to be split between our horticultural charity partners, Perennial and Greenfingers, supporting our industry.
