Perennial, the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping all people who work in horticulture, and their families, when times get tough, is delighted to announce that Hambrooks has signed up to become the latest Perennial Partner.
Last year Perennial helped over 1,200 people across the horticulture industry, helping them to access nearly £1 and a half million in financial support and support from businesses within the industry is crucial to its success.
Hambrooks held a raffle led during the launch of their brand new Garden Destination Centre in Titchfield, dubbed “Hampshire’s very own mini ‘Chelsea’”, and the money raised was matched by Hambrooks Managing Director Norman Hambrook, who has been a long-term supporter of Perennial.
“Launching our Garden Destination Centre is about combining 45 years of experience and knowledge to promote the benefits of having a well designed garden to the public and to prove that landscaping is still very much a thriving business. However, after all these years in business I know times can be tough if you are unable to work or fall on hard times and I would like to share some of Hambrooks success with those a little less fortunate.
“Perennial was a natural choice as it helps everyone in the horticultural community – no matter what their problems are and I am very pleased to become a Perennial Partner and would encourage others to do the same.”
Accepting a cheque for £500 was Perennial’s Development Manager Laura Garnett.
“We’re delighted to count on Norman as a supporter, and thrilled we can now call him a Partner too. The new Garden Destination Centre shows just how much Norman and his team at Hambrooks care about gardening and horticulture, and this Partnership will help us carry on the vital work, which not only changes people’s lives for the better, but also helps to keep Britain beautiful.”
