Perennial appoints Head of Trading

Perennial has appointed John Moseley as Head of Trading to focus on the charity’s commercial division GRBS Enterprises Ltd.

John’s appointment follows that of Steven Palmer, FD of Squires Garden Centres, who joined Perennial as Honorary Treasurer in February, as the charity seeks to increase the return from its commercial arm.

John will be reviewing the current trading operation; including product offerings, the online shop and also looking to build the range of Perennial licensed products.

John has wide experience in all aspects of garden retail, working as a consultant to Briers, Rosebourne and the HTA. He was Managing Director and owner of Barnett Hill Garden Centre for 12 years, before becoming Marketing Director for Garden & Leisure, now part of Wyevale, where he had board level responsibility in all strategic buying decisions. John offered his consultancy to Perennial on a number of occasions last year, playing a significant role in reshaping GRBS Enterprises product lines and revamping the look of the catalogues.

John comments:

“I am looking forward to helping shape the future strategy of GRBS Enterprises Ltd and working with Perennial to help make the business as profitable as possible. All profits from GRBS Enterprises Ltd go back into Perennial’s charitable services and the business has the potential to be a much more significant source of income for the charity.”
