Celebrity gardener and BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Rachel de Thame has been confirmed to attend the inaugural Party for Perennial on 15 January 2015. She will join some of the world’s top entertainers on the night to ensure guests at the Party have an exceptional and truly memorable evening.
The Party for Perennial promises to be a fun-filled evening of fine food, brilliant entertainment and, of course, fundraising for Perennial. UK horticulture stalwarts including Paul Hervey-Brookes, Rob and Rosy Hardy of Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, the team from Fibrex Nurseries, Matt O’Conner, MD of John O’Conner Grounds Maintenance, David Dodd of The Outdoor Room and Michael Perry and the Grubby Gardeners have already booked their tickets.
Rachel is delighted to be helping Perennial, the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping all horticulturists in times of need, and is looking forward to helping make the evening a success. She says,
“Perennial offers a unique service for all those working in horticulture and I’m only too pleased to be involved. The party sounds like a brilliant way for professionals to network early in the season and for amateur gardeners to have a fun evening and learn more about this wonderful charity. I am hoping to help raise much-needed funds for Perennial’s HortAid campaign in 2015.”
Musicians Simon Bates and Harry ‘The Piano‘, two of the world’s most celebrated and lauded musical entertainers, will provide a range of live music during the event. They will be joined by Fay Presto – one of the Magic Circle’s most famous entertainers – for a unique cabaret show and truly incredible close-up magic amongst party guests. A raffle and auction will also take place during the evening with some fabulous prizes already confirmed.
Tickets for the Party for Perennial (15 January 2015 from 7.30pm) are available now priced at £45 each (Group Discount: 10 tickets for the price of 9). Guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne followed by buffet-style bowl food, prepared by the award winning Roof Gardens team. Each guest will be invited to complete a Perennial Pledge Leaf in exchange for another complimentary drink at the bar.

Perennial offers free, confidential advice and support to everyone working in or retired from horticulture and their families, including gardeners, landscapers, nursery and garden centre staff, parks and grounds care staff and tree surgeons.
People turn to Perennial for financial and emotional help in times of need because of disability, sickness, poverty, financial hardship and old age – although increasingly younger people are seeking their assistance. Many individuals describe the services Perennial offers as a ‘lifeline’. The work of Perennial depends entirely on voluntary donations from the horticultural industry and the garden-loving public.
