Secret London gardens revealed: Open Garden Squares Weekend

This year’s popular Open Garden Squares Weekend takes place on 18 and 19 June and offers visitors and residents the chance to enjoy some of the capital’s private gems. Usually set behind locked doors and gates, London’s garden squares are much admired but seldom visited. This weekend is your chance to visit those spaces without having to hang over the railings!

The map of gardens to visit is available to view here and included is the beautiful Red Cross Garden cared for by the Bankside Open Spaces Trust, an environmental and volunteering charity, working with people to design, maintain and protect public parks, gardens and open spaces in London SE1.

Red_Cross_Garden_BOSTFree readings of poems inspired by Red Cross Garden will take place in the garden for Open Garden Squares Weekend.

Saturday 18/06/16: 11am, 2pm and 4pm

Sunday 19/06/16: 11am and 2pm

Refreshments will be available on Saturday afternoon and a short guided tour of the garden before the poetry at 2pm and 4pm.
