The Gardeners’ Guild, the national trade network for professionally qualified gardeners, is fundraising for Perennial throughout 2016 as its nominated Charity of the Year. With a link from its homepage to a dedicated JustGiving site, and all commissions from Google Ads on the website being donated, the Guild is hoping to raise £750 over the year.
Speaking about the new partnership, Gary Edwards, administrator at The Gardeners’ Guild, said,
“Guild members voted to support Perennial this coming year as a way of giving back to the only organisation dedicated to helping UK horticulturists when times get tough. We’re all looking forward to seeing how much we can do to raise money for, and awareness of, this important industry charity over the course of 2016.”
Anita Bates, Director of Marketing & Development at Perennial, said,
“A £100 donation has already been placed thanks to Graham Lawlor Plants & Gardens, so we’re hopeful that The Gardeners’ Guild members will smash their fundraising target for us next year! It’s so exciting that another trade body has decided to support Perennial in 2016 – we are really making headway in raising awareness of this charity and it’s fantastic that over the coming year this also means more UK horticulturists than ever will have the chance to learn more about how Perennial might be able to help them and their families in times of crisis. Whilst it is wonderful that TGG members will be raising funds for their trade charity, we also hope that those in need of help themselves will call us rather than struggle alone.”
