Our fundraising promise

Do something incredible and raise money for a charity close to your heart.

Perennial looks after people. That means we are committed not only to care for those who need us, but also to treat fairly those who support us through donating, fundraising, visiting our gardens and our shop.

    • We comply with the law - including regulations on data protection, health and safety and the environment.
    • We are honest and open – we tell the truth and do not exaggerate; we do what we say we are going to do, and we are open about our fundraising activities and costs.
    • We are clear – about who we are, what we do and how your gift is used. Where we have a promotional agreement with a commercial company, we make clear how much of the purchase price we receive, and we give a clear explanation of how you can make a gift and amend a regular commitment.
    • We are respectful – we respect your rights and privacy, and we will always treat you with dignity. We do not use third party fundraising agencies, street or door-to-door collections and we do not make outbound cold telephone calls asking for donations. We only send a small number of mailings, and we will not pressure you to make a gift. If you do not want to give or want to stop giving, we will respect your decision. If you tell us that you do not want us to contact you in a particular way we will not do so.
    • We are fair and reasonable – We take care not to use any images or words that would distress or offend you and we take care not to annoy you or cause any disruption.
    • We are accountable – If you are unhappy with anything we have done whilst fundraising, please contact us to tell us. This is our complaints procedure.
