Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet – the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below.
Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward into the clouds, diving down through the air as you start free-falling at over 120mph!
Imagine no more… come and join us! Great to do if you’re celebrating a big birthday, needing an adrenaline fix or need to tick it off your bucket list. A number of airfields to choose from around the UK.
Kenny Raybould, Head Gardener at Covent Garden in London, was one of our three 2017 skydivers:
“I have been involved with several fundraisers for Perennial, but the skydive was the most memorable one by far.
Skydiving was always something I had wanted to do, dare I say it a bucket-list wish…The chance came at an event to sign up to help Perennial raise much-needed funds and I thought why not mix the two.
Perennial is dear to my heart as I know first-hand what it’s like to need that helping hand, so it made perfect sense to try and raise a few pennies for a fabulous charity while ticking off something I have always wanted to do
Doing something like a charity skydive is not just about raising money, it’s about the stand it makes, that together we want to make things better for people. The skydive was a real moment of peace for me – all 12,000 feet up in the air – and it’s something I will never forget. Gliding through the air with the Gods, all in the name of plants and charity, was just such a fabulous experience“.
