Botanical Illustration Course with Reinhild Raistrick at Fullers Mill Garden

Illustrating Lilies

Monday 22 to Tuesday 23 July 2019, 10am – 4pm (£100)

The two-day course provides an opportunity to illustrate the wonderful range of lilies in this garden, ranging from the golden Lilium lancifolium to the multicoloured extravagances of the Lilium Martagon collection. Time will be spent going around the garden before settling down to sketch your chosen plant. A cut stem of the lily will be brought into the Bothy, our light and airy classroom where Reinhild will guide you through the accurate composition and placing of the subject on the page.  This drawing will be the basis for your watercolour painting, with an emphasis on achieving the subtleties and correct hues for your flower.

This course is suitable for artists of all levels.
An equipment and materials list to follow on booking.

Pre-booking is required. Call the Fullers Mill Garden office on 01284 728 888 or email Anne Valentine
