Admissions & Directions

To maintain social distancing, we need to limit the numbers in the garden, so you’ll need to book your slot before you come and pay on entry at the garden. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Fullers Mill at its best and its quietest!

The garden is open from 2pm – 5pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and from 11am – 5pm on Sundays.

You can book a slot at 2pm or 3.30pm on a Wednesday and Friday or at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm or 3.30pm on a Sunday.

Payment will be taken on entry at the garden. The garden will be operating a cashless system, so please bring your card and use contactless payments where possible.

When attending your pre booked slot, please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before to avoid queuing and enable us to maintain social distancing.

Plants propagated from the garden will be on sale in the garden

Please observe social distancing rules in all parts of the garden

Toilet facilities will be open in the garden

There will be no catering available onsite at this time

If you have symptoms of Coronavirus (high temperature, new continuous cough, loss of taste or smell), please don’t visit – we’ll still be here to welcome you when you’re symptom free again!

To help us preserve its charm, the garden only allows assistance dogs.


Visitor information

Tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes are available from The Bothy Tea Room.

Plants propagated from the garden are for sale.

There is disabled access to most of the garden. Uneven surfaces, grassed areas, proximity to water and sloping ground limit access to some areas. The disabled toilet and Bothy Tea Room are fully accessible.

Fullers Mill Garden is 5 miles north-west of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Turn off the A1101 (Bury to Mildenhall road) signposted West Stow Anglo Saxon Village. Continue for 1.5 miles and the entrance is clearly marked. There is parking available on site.
