Set in a beautiful valley within the National Park, one mile south of Haslemere, Shalford House boasts ten acres of richly planted, skilfully designed gardens.

Since its purchase seven years ago, the garden has been transformed with distinctive rooms, summerhouses, hedges, ponds, water features and a 120-metre rill, all sustained by natural springs.

Colour-themed borders surround the house, alongside tender plants in pots, climbers, herbaceous planting and raised stone beds. Highlights include a walled garden with an Alitex greenhouse, fruit trees, agapanthus and clematis; hosta collections; spring-fed ponds and a lake; and a woodland garden filled with hydrangeas, acers and Cornus kousa.

A vibrant sunken garden of dahlias, grasses, annuals and perennials provides colour through late summer, while a circular garden, summerhouse, rockery and waterfall add further interest.

Beyond lie 30 acres of woodland, bluebell woods, fine trees, a large lake and peaceful paths to explore at leisure.

Following lunch at Shalford House, guests will visit the private garden of Copyhold in the afternoon.
