A new English flower garden within the grounds of this country estate was born in 2010. Guests will be told the story of these 10-acre gardens by the designer and Head Gardener himself, Mat Reese. The owners owe their influences to Great Dixter in Sussex and the writings of iconic gardeners Christopher Lloyd, William Robinson and Vita Sackville-West. The garden boasts abundantly planted terraces and long borders; a stumpery with ferns and unusual shade plants and a topiary meadow. Tall yew hedges form themed rooms, including: a cool garden; a hot garden; a rose-clad cloister garden and a large pond garden that reflects the dynamic planting on all sides. 

The walled garden contains areas for fruit, vegetables and cut flowers, alongside a white garden with four small fountains. The latest development is a striking yew and box parterre to add dynamic to the garden. After the tour, we will enjoy lunch at a nearby eatery
