Sitting at the heart of an organic farm and nestling amongst traditional stone buildings dating back to the early 18th century, the garden at Oxleaze Farm is the epitome of a Cotswold country garden.
Designed and planted by the owners over 40 years, there is a happy combination of formality and informality. The garden is a manageable microcosm of billowing mixed borders of perennials and roses, ponds, a bog garden, vegetable potager and decorative fruit cage, woodland garden, wild meadow, and a charming potting shed.
Yew and box topiary grown from in-house cuttings create the backdrop and a strong structure for winter when the flowers fade.
Vistas have been created where possible, linking the various ‘rooms’ which are a feature of the garden, and the myriad of conditions give homes to the many varied plants grown in this beautiful plantswoman’s garden.
Guided tour with lunch.
