Senior Caseworker – Central & Eastern England
At Perennial we believe that every horticulturist should have access to the services and support they need. We are entering an exciting period of growth and development with a new strategy in place to enable us to meet current demand and develop a range of preventative services. This, along with an increased in demand for our services, has resulted in this new Senior Caseworker role. We are now looking for a new homebased senior caseworker based in the Central area of England with travel across the region, including East Anglia and South Lincolnshire, to join our existing team of caseworkers based remotely across the South of the UK.
We are looking for a full time Marketing Manager to join our ever-growing Marketing & Fundraising Team. This role will give you the opportunity to manage the full marketing mix, and in particular develop Perennial’s online presence, including creating a new website, and delve into our supporter database to increase our engagement by communicating in a targeted way. By playing a vital role in significantly increasing Perennial’s awareness you will be making a difference to the lives of those who, as a result, come to us for help.
We have a diverse and dynamic board of eleven Trustees which we want to strengthen with the recruitment of two Trustees with experience of working in fields that relate to our charitable service – advice, client support or training and education. Experience of the charity sector would also be an advantage.
The role involves attendance at our quarterly Board meetings and an annual awayday as well as participation on one of our Board sub-committees which also meet quarterly. We are a UK-wide operation with our head office based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Most of our Trustee meetings are held in London, some are held in Leatherhead and occasionally we hold meetings at one of our gardens which are in Adel, just north of Leeds and West Stow, near Bury St Edmunds.
Volunteers: York Gate Garden Tea Room
York Gate Garden relies on the help of its team of volunteers when the garden is open to visitors. We are currently looking for help in the busy and popular tea room, particularly on Sundays.
This is a sociable role working with a very friendly team and involves a lot of face-to-face contact with visitors to the garden. It is ideal for those that enjoy gardens and want to give something back by supporting York Gate Garden and helping generate income for Perennial, the trade charity that looks after all horticulturists.
