Business Systems Analyst
To manage and support the core business applications and the related data. To assist in the development / management of processes around these systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain the CRM system (Access CRM/ThankQ)
- Regularly monitor and ensure the accuracy, integrity and completeness of data in the core systems
- Develop, manage, and maintain point of sale tills. (Shopify/Toast/Gamma)
- Assist users with understanding and following established workflows and procedures within the systems including creating user guides, conducting training sessions, or answering specific questions about how to best utilise the system for their needs.
- Build dashboards and reports to assist the business teams.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors on system issues and new releases.
- Oversee testing, deployment, and acceptance of changes to systems.
- Manage application user accounts / licences and induct new staff.
- Act as administrator on core systems
- Identify opportunities for ongoing improvements.
- Document business needs and requirements
- Ensure that all business systems comply with data protection, industry regulations and internal security policies.
- Develop small scale solutions around our core systems.
To perform any other duties reasonably asked by the role’s line manager.
General
- Always ensure the good name of the charity, in conjunction with other professionals, as appropriate.
- Act within the charity’s policies and procedures, including those relating to health and safety, safeguarding, administration of donations, fundraising practice, and equal opportunities.

Person Specification
Education and employment
- University or equivalent employment experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a business systems analyst/support role.
Experience and Skills
- Experience in an income generating CRM.
- Experience in using Point of Sale and stock control systems would be advantageous.
- In depth knowledge of database structures and how to maintain data integrity
- Experience in building APIs would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and commitment to ensuring compliance with fundraising and data protection regulation for supporter information.
- Experience managing stakeholders up and across a charity.
- Experience managing suppliers to service level agreements.
- An effective communicator in both oral and written English.
- Experience in Microsoft teams and SharePoint would be advantageous.
Character/Personality
- Ability to work alone on own initiative as well as work effectively as part of a team, naturally supportive of colleagues.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organised.

Location: Head office (Leatherhead), hybrid working considered
Salary: £45-50,000 (depending on experience)
Hours of work: 9-5pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid for lunch. Flexible hours will be considered.
Pension: Perennial operates an auto-enrolment pension scheme and will match employee contributions up to the statutory amount. Details of the scheme will be available following a formal offer of employment.
Holidays: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays (with increases for long service)
General: Sick Pay, Death in Service Benefit (3x salary). Perennial has a number of well-established family-friendly policies, including ‘buying’ extra (unpaid) leave, time off for dependents, variations to normal working hours. Further details on request.
General considerations: All Perennial jobs are subject to a probationary period (6 months) and periodic review.
