Lord’s Cricket Ground
We have a ‘wicket’ opportunity for all you cricket fans. Join us at Lord’s for an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the world-famous ‘home of cricket’ ground in London to see iconic parts of the ground and experience some of the most inspiring views in sport.
The tour is led by Head Groundsman, Karl McDermott, who says: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see all the iconic parts of the grounds and experience some of the most inspiring views in sports. You will walk the pitch and discover the secrets behind keeping the hallowed turf in such pristine condition. Whether for yourself or a loved one, this is an extraordinary experience that gives back to the horticultural community.”
Your visit will commence with a light lunch, in the Writing Room (where members watch the matches from) followed by viewing over 200 years of history and tradition; the ground features an unrivalled collection of cricket related art and memorabilia.
The tour will take place on 5 July 2023 and remember… this money can’t buy opportunity is all in aid of giving back to all those who work with plants, trees, flowers or grass.
Perennial Events Manager, Chris Crooker says: “Unless you’re a professional cricketer, member of the MCC or one of our guests you just won’t get the opportunity to stand on the actual pitch at Lord’s Cricket Ground and hear the science and immense dedication that goes into making it the world class sporting venue it is. This truly is a unique and very special event.”
“I can guarantee that, like me, this experience will be one that you talk about for years to come.” Click here to read the full story of Ed’s experience from 2022.BOOK TICKETS
