Resources for Employers
Supporting employers through change and challenge
At Perennial, we know that employers across horticulture are facing increasing pressure to support their teams through complex and often difficult circumstances.
This resource hub brings together practical guidance, expert-led webinars and trusted partnerships to help you support your employees with confidence and compassion. These tools and resources are designed to help you create a healthier, more resilient workplace and ensure no one feels they’re facing challenges alone.
Mental wellbeing in the workplace
Supporting your teams to have conversations about mental wellbeing in the workplace and the challenges they are facing is really important. Our free 'Confident Conversations' webinars support line managers to develop these skills.
We also have a mental wellbeing resource pack that you can download and, if you're already a trained Mental Health First Aider, why not join our Ambassador Network and support others in horticulture.
Support for carers in your workplace
A significant number of employees balance work with the important role of caring. Without support many reduce their hours or leave work all together. We’ve partnered with Employers for Carers, part of Carers UK, to provide a comprehensive support package for employers in the horticulture community.
This includes:
• A bespoke online platform with access to all digital content
• Resources for HR teams, supervisors, and line managers, including e-learning and toolkits.
• Guidance on creating a carer-friendly workplace, videos for staff, webinars and advice.
• Carer's Passport for employees to identify, record and support employee needs.
Support during reducing hours or redundancy
We have seen a significant increase in the number of people contacting us with questions around being laid off early, reduced working hours and redundancy.
At Perennial we can help your employees navigate this difficult situation.
Our support includes:
• Financial guidance
• Welfare benefits advice
• Interview skills and increasing employability
• Emotional wellbeing support
