Alan Sargent at the Glasshouse Collective

This September saw The Glasshouse Collective host Alan Sargent’s final workshop — and what a special day it was.

Alan has given so much to our industry and support for Perennial by donating the proceeds of his book, ‘Confessions of a Gardener’ available via Perennial’s website here.

This event was more than a masterclass in knowledge and experience. It was a day of community and collaboration, with designers, landscapers, gardeners and suppliers coming together at the wonderful Glasshouse Collective to share stories, learn from one another and celebrate a remarkable career.

Most importantly, the day raised vital funds for Perennial, with every ticket sold giving a £5 donation, proving once again how powerful our industry can be when it works together.

This event was a reminder that while skills and expertise are essential, it is our sense of community that keeps us going.  When we collaborate, support each other, and give back, we strengthen the very roots of our industry.

Alan’s legacy will live on — not only in the landscapes he created, but in the way he inspired us to come together for the greater good.
