Support for those who care for someone else

Many people who are working in horticulture also care for a loved one. They don’t see themselves as an unpaid carer, but they are. Acknowledging the caring role these 'Horti Carers' undertake and providing them with helpful information and advice can help people feel supported and valued in their challenging situation.
That's why we've worked with Carers UK to pull together some important tips and highlight some of the free online tools on offer that can be shared with those across your organisation who are balancing work and their caring responsibilities.
It is important to recognise and support such carers because whilst looking after a loved one can be fulfilling and rewarding, it also comes with challenges that can negatively impact all aspects of life, including physical and mental wellbeing, work balance and money management.
