Step inside the world of award-winning garden designer and resident garden designer for Crocus, Lucy Willcox on an exclusive tour of two private gardens she has designed and created, one of which is her own garden. See the powerful expressions of her bold, contemporary aesthetic and finely honed planting expertise.
The day begins with a talk in Lucy's garden about how the garden was created from scratch. Lucy will then take you on a private tour of both her garden and one next door with plenty of opportunity for questions and advice.
Lucy has created celebrated gardens across the UK since 2007. She was featured in Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club on ITV in 2024, and her Strand Roof Terrace won a Principal BALI Award. Her designs have appeared in the national press and were finalists in the Society of Garden Designers Awards.
The first garden, Lucy's own, is a 1960s bungalow is embraced by a naturalistic, modern landscape that flows from courtyard to wild edge. Seasonal planting echoes the surrounding heath and shifts from structured forms to looser, wilder drifts.
The second, designed for a design-savvy couple - her parents - is a series of outdoor rooms reflecting the home’s modernist architecture. Thoughtfully composed views and sun-following spaces create a garden designed for year-round beauty and everyday living.
