Val began her Perennial journey as a Perennial crèche volunteer. 

It was clear from the outset that she was brilliant and it wasn’t long before her natural flair for sales shone through. She was quickly headhunted for the Perennial trade stand and that’s where she truly came into her own as the incredible saleswoman she is.

Val would often have crowds gathered around Perennial stands, captivated by her charismatic sales patter especially when it came to the famous Perennial Madaraff hats.  As the years have passed, Val has taken on more of a supervisory role, which she embraces wholeheartedly. She has become a trusted team member and her energy and enthusiasm is endlessly impressive.  She never seems to slow down!

Val’s role goes beyond just sales.  She is a passionate ambassador for Perennial, always eager to share the story of what they do with anyone stopping by.  Always happy to jump in for a shift, there are times when it has been a struggle to persuade her to take a well-earned break. Full of ideas for how to improve both our products and the appearance of Perennial stands, Val’s creativity and commitment have been invaluable.

These days, Val is a familiar face at many Perennial events and even today she is here as a volunteer encouraging you all to buy your envelopes for the raffle.  Val also took part in the Perennial Firewalk at Hever Castle in 2024, walking over hot coals to help to raise vital funds to support Perennial’s work.  Val has become an integral part of the wider team Perennial team and they feel incredibly lucky to have her.
