MENTAL WELLBEING IN THE WORKPLACE

We know that as an employer you want to do right by all those who work with you in terms of promoting and supporting positive mental wellbeing in the workplace, but sometimes time, resource and budget can have an impact.

With our research showing that mental wellbeing is a critical issue for the horticultural industry we all need to dedicate time and effort in order to address it across the sector.

Take action now and consider what you can do within your own organisation, and make use of the free resources listed below.

  1. Join one of our free webinars
  2. Become part of our MHFA Ambassador Network
  3. Download our free resource pack to support mental wellbeing in your workplace

It would also be great if you could tell us more about how you're supporting mental wellbeing amongst your employees, so that together we can make sure everyone has the knowledge, skills and confidence to make the right choices and have the right support when they need it.

Mental Health First Aid FAQs

    • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) encourages early detection and intervention by teaching people about the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and helps people understand where to find sources of support in a very similar way to Physical First Aid.

    • Like traditional first aiders who provide immediate assistance for physical injuries, MHFAiders (Mental Health First Aiders) provide initial support, encouragement, and signposting of a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other support for their mental health.

    • MHFA training is a 2 day course designed to help the MHFAider build their knowledge and confidence in supporting others who may be struggling or experiencing poor mental health.
