About Perennial

Perennial has a rich heritage of improving people’s lives. We help anyone who makes or looks after gardens, parks, sports grounds, woodlands and other green spaces. If someone works with flowers, plants, trees or grass, or work in the places where they grow, Perennial is their charity. Our friendly and experienced team helps individuals and families through life-changing events with free and confidential personal support, for as long as they need it.

We understand the personal challenges and financial pressures that might be faced by people who work in horticulture, arboriculture or forestry. We offer a lifeline, with practical and personal support designed around each person. We can visit at home or be just at the end of the telephone.

We help over 2,000 people and their families every year. Many people we help have been through a life-changing event, such as serious injury, long-term illness, losing a family member, redundancy, or other problems at home. Others simply can’t afford to live on their regular wage and feel they have no choice but to borrow money to make ends meet. We can help, whatever the problem.

We are committed to a future in which all people in horticulture are aware of us, understand what help they can receive from us, and are confident to get in touch should they need our help.

How you can help make a difference

Our purpose is to ‘build better futures for people in horticulture and their families.’ We believe that no one should be denied help simply because they are not aware of Perennial, so our vision is that everyone in horticulture will be aware of Perennial, understand what help they can receive from us, and will be confident to get in touch if they need us.
