An exciting opportunity to spend an enjoyable and informative day at Ashwood Nurseries for a combined escorted garden tour of the private garden of John Massey VMH and a hellebore talk for a ‘behind the scenes’ look in our Hellebore Production House.

An escorted tour of John’s Garden will explore the wonderful three acre private garden created by nursery owner John Massey VMH. Regarded as one of the finest private small gardens in the UK, this is a garden that is truly spectacular in winter. Informal borders, island beds and woodland dells are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. A magnificent collection of trees, shrubs and conifers gives strong structure as well providing the perfect canopy for the hellebores, snowdrops, winter aconites and cyclamen that carpet the ground.

The hellebore talk will be led by one of our experienced horticulturists where you will learn how we grow them and see our beautiful award winning hellebore stock plants from which we collect our seed.
