York Gate is now closed undergoing redevelopment works and will reopen on 1 April 2020. Therefore, we will not have a Christmas week or Snowdrop week this year.

Directions and Parking
LOCATION
York Gate is 2¼ miles south-east of Bramhope, just off the A660.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION
Parking is just off site, please park on Church Lane in the lay-by.
To get to the garden entrance, walk through the church yard, then keep heading straight on down the footpath to come out opposite the garden gate. It is less than five minutes on foot. You may drop less mobile visitors at the gate.
DIRECTIONS
By Car – From Leeds
Take the A660 towards Otley. Turn right at the first set of traffic-lights after the intersection with the ring road (A6120), signed Adel and Eccup (just before Davino Restaurant).
Turn left into Church Lane and park in the lay-by to the side of the Church.
Walk through the church yard, then keep straight on down the footpath to come out opposite the garden gate. It is less than five minutes on foot. You may drop less mobile visitors at the gate.
By Car – From the North
Take the A660 through Bramhope. Turn left at the first set of traffic-lights after the Leeds Parkway Hotel. Turn left into Church Lane and park in the lay-by to the side of the church.
Walk through the church yard, then keep straight on down the footpath to come out opposite the garden gate. It is less than five minutes on foot. You may drop less mobile visitors at the gate.
By Bus
No. 28 From Leeds to Adel – Alight at Sir George Martin Drive – East Moor Lane (terminus).
Stay on the 28 until it terminates at the Adel ‘village shop’. Continue down the hill (Sir George Martin Drive) on foot until you get to Back Church Lane on your left (where is meets Stairfoot Lane). York Gate is 110m down Back Church Lane on the right. It is a pleasant 5 minute walk from the bus stop.
No.1 From Leeds to Holt Park – Alight at Otley Road – Greenfield Court. 10 minutes walk to the garden via Church Lane.
Alight at Otley Road, Lawnswood, Greenfield Court. Outside Davino Restaurant.
Walk south down Otley Road for 70m then turn left onto Church Lane and turn left again at the T junction. When you see the church on your right, follow the path through the churchyard, and continue straight on with the church hall on your left. You will come out opposite York Gate Garden.
No. X84 From Skipton to Leeds (Ilkley to Leeds on Sundays) – Alight at Otley Road – Holt Lane. 10 minutes walk to the garden via Church Lane
Visitor Information
The tea room serves light lunches, afternoon teas and freshly home baked cakes.
Parking is off site, please back on Church Lane, and walk through the church yard, then straight on down the footpath to come out opposite the garden gate. It is less than five minutes on foot. You may drop off at the gate.
Regrettably access to the garden for wheelchair users is difficult because of the narrow paths and gravel surfaces.
Dogs are not permitted access to the garden. We do however welcome assistance dogs.
