Please note: booking in advance is essential for all group bookings to ensure we can cater for your needs.

We welcome groups by prior arrangement every day of the week between April and October.

Entry cost is £10 per person, on days we are closed to the public (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), entry cost is £13 per person.

Payment for your admission is required in advance to secure your booking. Refreshments paid for separately and purchased on the day.

    • We consider a group to be 6 or more people.

      There is no limit to the maximum number of people in a group.

      Please note: booking in advance is essential for all group bookings to ensure we can cater for your needs.

    • Entry cost is £10* per person.

      On days we are closed to the public (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), entry cost is £13* per person.

      *Are you a UK tax payer? You can boost your entry fee by 25p per every £1 you pay . Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Gift Aid makes a big difference to our charity income.

      Full admission payment must be received at least 14 days before arrival. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds after this time.

      Payments are preferred by card taken over the phone. You can also pay via BACS payment.

      We are currently unable to offer guided tours, however a welcome introduction to the garden is available upon request when booking.

    • Our Bothy Tearoom offers a selection of hot drinks and cold savoury and sweet snacks, including sausage rolls, cakes, traybakes, cookies and ice cream (gluten free and vegan options available).

      Outdoor seating is available on the lawn and under our marquee.

      Refreshments paid for separately and purchased on the day.

    • Due to the gardens uneven surfaces, grassed areas, proximity to water and sloping ground, disabled access is limited in some areas.

      Disabled toilet and Bothy Tea Room are fully accessible.

      You will be given a map upon arrival that highlights all these areas.

    • There is adequate parking for coaches. Driver must remain close to vehicle.

      Our car park accommodates approx. 75 cars so on busy days, it may be necessary for visitors to park down the track leading to the car park.

      We ask that groups arrive no more than 15 minutes before the time that they are booked to visit the garden. Please let us know if you are running late on 01284 728888

      • A welcome introduction to the garden is available upon request when booking.
      • Please wear suitable footwear for walking around the garden.
      • We suggest you allow 1.5 – 2 hours to peruse the garden at your leisure, plus additional time for refreshments and to browse our plants sales and gift shop.
      • Coach drivers are welcome to enjoy a drink and slice of cake for free.
      • The companion of a disabled visitor is admitted free of charge.
      • To help us preserve its charm, the garden only allows assistance dogs. We are sorry we can’t admit family dogs or other pets.
      • It probably goes without saying these days – but we do not permit smoking in, or immediately outside the garden.
      • We sell an extensive range of plants, so please do not take plants / cuttings from garden.
