For two years a fantastic team at one of the industries most respected brands has been raising funds for Perennial after nominating them as their Charity Partner for both 2024 and 2025.
STIHL kickstarted their fundraising at the opening of their new building by auctioning wood sculptures by chainsaw carver Simon O’Rourke; using an MS 500i chainsaw to create a sculpture of an MS 500i seemed a fitting way to celebrate STIHL and the start of their partnership with Perennial and they raised £6,000 for Perennial at the same time.
5 intrepid members of STIHL staff also embarked on a challenging 100km sponsored bike ride through the Surrey Hills helping to add to the fundraising pot. On top of that they decided to get creative by bringing the sharpest cuts in town to the APF Exhibition 2024, hosting a team of barbers in the STIHL on Tour mobile showroom and giving haircuts to anyone at the show in return for a donation to Perennial. Along with carving personalised cookies at the Royal Three Counties Show and holding raffles, bake sales and car washes they have raised around £20,000 for Perennial.
Honouring STHIL with a silver shovel award comes with heartfelt thanks for everything they do as a company to help Perennial build better futures for people in horticulture and their families.
